The goal of the project is to enable the continuation of scientific activities of all the Czech institutions participating in the Pierre Auger Observatory during the following five years (2018 to 2022). Besides studying the data of the current Observatory the Czech scientists will begin to take part in the activities related to the expansion of the Observatory in the AugerPrime project. This will allow them to study new unique data not only from the current fluorescence detectors and water Cherenkov surface detectors, but also from the newly installed scintillator surface detectors. The main goal of the work is to understand the nature of extremely energetic particles of cosmic origin.
