Additively manufactured and plasmatically coated conformal heat exchangers

The project is focused on an increase of a heat transfer efficiency and stability in heat exchangers operated in challanging conditions employing advanced technologies such as 3D printing. The developed exchangers will be tested as die inserts which are simultaneously exposed to high temeratures, pressure, mechanical stress and to corrosive and abrasive environment. This application facilitates expeditious deployment, testing and iteration prior to applying the innovation in other sectors. Testing and deployment of the inserts should result in reduction of operating costs and increase of the added value in BaL products yet before the project is completed. Since the heat exchangers are widespread across the industry, a variety of applications is expected
