EPSILON - Stable thin films for optical and monocrystalline materials


The aim of the project will be to improve the technology of thin film preparation with higher spectral stability against environmental influences and higher resistance to damage by intense laser radiation. The layers will be prepared for substrates of optical glasses and monocrystalline materials grown by CRYTUR, spol. s r.o. for applications in pulsed lasers with high repetition rates and high mean power, in scintillation detectors and particle and radiation detection units. Technology of cultivation and processing of crystals with emphasis on polishing of the surface will be developed. The development of these technologies will enable the company to innovate its existing products, satisfy the growing demand for durable optical components, to search for and offer new applications and thus increase the company's competitiveness on world markets.
